Sometimes life calls you to step back and breathe.
- to seek warmth, stillness, and a place where we can reconnect with ourselves.
In the south of Sri Lanka, near Dickwella and the magical Turtle Point, such a place exists: the Heart of Ayurveda Resort.
An oasis born from heartfelt vision and deep connection, rooted in the wisdom of Ayurveda. Created through the friendship of a German and a Sinhalese family, it is a space dedicated to regeneration, healing, and inner balance.
Sri Lanka — a land full of vitality that gently teaches serenity. In the tropical warmth, slowing down comes naturally. The body begins to open, nature restores fresh energy. The kindness of the Sinhalese people, their gentle spirit and the soft, flowing atmosphere quietly embrace you.
Just a short walk from the resort, the ocean awaits — a place to immerse yourself and surrender to the calm rhythm of the sea.
Arrive.
The coastal town of Dickwella lies between Tangalle and Matara, framed by picturesque beaches and hidden bays. Surrounded by palm trees and lush tropical greenery, a sense of calm sets in almost instantly. The island blends vibrant traditions with genuine hospitality, creating a place where nature and culture exist in effortless harmony.
Release.
Far away from noise, rush and crowded tourist paths, there is nothing left to hold on to — not thoughts, not expectations, not the roles we carry in everyday life. Heart of Ayurveda is a protected sanctuary, offering space for deep rest and regeneration. Here, letting go becomes a gentle movement inward, and the heart slowly returns to its own natural rhythm.
Regenerate.
At the heart of the resort lies a traditional Ayurvedic treatment programme, led by an experienced Ayurvedic doctor who is present on site each day.
For every guest, an individual treatment plan is carefully designed, personally tailored and professionally supervised throughout the entire stay. Up to six treatments per day are scheduled, supporting the harmonisation of body and mind and helping to restore natural energy levels.
The aim of the Ayurvedic programme is to gently cleanse and rebalance the body, supporting its natural regenerative processes and long-term wellbeing.
